## Description

Shrestha Lab is at the forefront of innovative research focused on health technologies and interventions tailored for marginalized populations, particularly in the field of drug use and HIV prevention. Founded with the vision to enhance health outcomes, the lab leads projects like the Smartphone Health Assessment for Digital Engagement (SHADE) and the Smartwatch Health Innovation Program (SHIP), both designed to understand and improve health monitoring for individuals using drugs.

Additionally, Shrestha Lab is pivotal in developing mobile applications aimed at reducing harm associated with drug use and enhancing HIV prevention for men who have sex with men in Malaysia and beyond. Notable projects include JomCare and JomPrEP®, which facilitate real-time health interventions and promote testing and treatment adherence. Through partnerships with significant institutions like the National Institutes of Health, Shrestha Lab employs a multidisciplinary approach to bridge gaps in healthcare access, utilizing digital tools to foster community engagement and improve health literacy.
