## Description

RSVW, the Ruder- und Segelverein Westensee e.V., is a rowing and sailing association based in Felde, Schleswig-Holstein, near Kiel. Founded in 1970, the club facilitates water sports on the privately owned Westensee and Bossee lakes, working within arrangements with the lakes’ owners and respecting landscape conservation and fisheries. Its activities include rowing, sailing, paddling and windsurfing, with courses, events and an active club community for local enthusiasts. Access is limited by the club’s bylaws to people whose primary or secondary residence is in a neighboring municipality, helping protect the area’s natural environment. The club supports conservation through measures including restricted zones and a ban on motorboats, and provides guidance on navigation rules for Westensee. Those interested in a boat mooring can contact RSVW for referrals to the relevant pier communities. The association also shares news and practical information for water users, including updates about the lake and rowing boats. Its purpose is to make recreational use possible while safeguarding the lakes’ distinctive natural surroundings.
