## Description

The Remember the Removal Legacy Association (RTRLA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of the original Remember the Removal bike riders. Its mission is to educate people about the Trail of Tears and its impact on Cherokee history, while honoring the memory of those who endured this forced removal. RTRLA shares information about its work, programs, and initiatives to help visitors learn about Cherokee heritage and find ways to participate and support its efforts.

The association connects history with cultural learning and community engagement through educational programs and initiatives, including the Remember the Removal Bike Ride, whose alumni retrace the Trail of Tears. It also highlights stories of riders and their experiences, including a forthcoming book featuring Cherokee youth on the journey from Georgia to Oklahoma. RTRLA invites the public to support its mission through donations and involvement. Its community activities include an art market planned for Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and it provides information about its executive board and bike ride alumni.
