## Description

The Ron Tough Yachting Foundation (RTYF) is a Western Australian organisation dedicated to encouraging participation and excellence in the sailing community, with a particular focus on young people. Working alongside sailing clubs, class associations and individual sailors, the Foundation supports opportunities for sailors to develop their skills and pursue their ambitions.

RTYF’s programs include coaching clinics, grants and the Pacer Racer Challenge. It also recognises achievement through awards, including the Syd Corser scholarship. The Foundation shares news, reports and videos about sailors’ training, regattas and competition experiences, helping celebrate the progress of Western Australian sailors at local, national and international events.

Supported by a broad network of yacht and sailing clubs across Western Australia, RTYF relies on community generosity to advance its vision. Its website provides information about grant eligibility and conditions, how to apply, previous recipients and awards, and ways to donate. Through these initiatives, the Foundation aims to strengthen sailing participation and help young sailors access support and development opportunities.
