## Description

Ruff Life Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization on a mission to end the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable dogs in the Carolinas. Founded in 2012, Ruff Life operates as a foster-based rescue and dreams of establishing a no-kill shelter that offers comprehensive services like training, grooming, and boarding facilities. Their dedicated team works tirelessly to save dogs in danger of euthanasia from shelters in North and South Carolina, specifically around the Charlotte area. Once rescued, these dogs are placed in approved foster homes where they receive essential veterinary care, including preventatives, vaccinations, and spay/neuter procedures. Ruff Life understands the importance of visibility in finding forever homes for their dogs. As they do not have a physical facility, they rely on adoption events held at various locations, such as Pet Supplies Plus, Petco, and PetSmart. These events not only allow people to meet their dogs but also contribute to their lifesaving efforts. The organization is proud to collaborate with the ASPCA, Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care Control Partnership, Partnership for Pets Coalition, and Rescue Charlotte to reduce euthanasia rates in high-kill shelters. Ruff Life is actively involved in microchipping initiatives, offering low-cost microchipping services with HomeAgain microchips for $20. Education is also a key focus for Ruff Life, as they strive to spread awareness about the importance of spaying/neutering and vaccinations as preventive measures against diseases. If you're interested in supporting Ruff Life's mission or getting involved in any of their programs, visit their website or reach out to them via email. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these deserving dogs.
