The Referees Society of Virginia is a prestigious organization that provides referees for rugby matches in the state of Virginia and surrounding areas. In addition to officiating local games, referees also have the opportunity to work in other unions, while our union hosts referees from other societies. Our Annual General Meeting, held every August, serves as a platform for networking and discussion.

Refereeing is a fantastic way to stay involved with rugby after your playing days are over or get involved with the sport if you prefer not to play. To help aspiring referees, the RSV conducts USA Rugby Certification courses multiple times a year in regional locations. Referees work together to review each other's games, allowing for constant improvement and advancement to higher-level matches.
