## Description

Welcome to the website of the Revista Universitaria de Historia Militar (University Journal of Military History) (ISSN: 2254-6111), the first scientific journal of military history in the Spanish-speaking world with a double-blind peer review. Since its inception in 2012, our journal has been committed to updating the study of warfare in the Spanish-speaking historiography. We aim to explore new questions and perspectives to better understand violence, war, and military institutions. Our goal is to make military history a useful and interesting field of study for our historical community. Our journal serves as a platform to promote and facilitate diverse studies on warfare, covering various chronological and thematic aspects. We strive to introduce international historiographic trends into Spanish historiography and foster connections between researchers across the Atlantic. We pride ourselves on being the first Spanish academic journal specialized in military history to implement a double-blind peer review process and being indexed in numerous national and international academic indices. Our aim is to become a national and international reference in the field of military history, particularly in a country where research on armed conflicts, violence, and military institutions has not received adequate recognition. We firmly believe that our journal can bridge the gap between historiography and society by engaging the public's interest in the history of war. That is why our journal is freely accessible, demonstrating our commitment to social outreach and involving society in the latest academic advancements in the study of war.
