## Description

"Бегущий Город" - a pioneering project that introduced urban orienteering competitions in Russia and worldwide in 2000. The project's essence lies in showcasing the city of St. Petersburg from an unexpected perspective, connecting seemingly disparate parts, and highlighting lesser-known picturesque corners. Participants engage in a unique form of active exploration by searching for designated city landmarks using various urban transportation modes like public transport, bicycles, rollerblades, and walking.

Unlike traditional sports, urban orienteering offers multiple ways to set control points, including addresses, local names, landmarks, schematic maps, photos, combined descriptions, and urban riddles. The "Running City" competitions take place in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, and other cities. The project invites interested individuals to support, partner, or volunteer. With a strong volunteer base, the project has garnered praise from participants, partners, and local administrations while gaining recognition at both local and national levels through dynamic exhibitions and participation in thematic conferences and forums.
