## Description

RunMapper is a running route-planning tool designed to match a route to the workout a runner wants to complete. The service creates a course based on a selected training type, starting point, target distance and elevation gain, with an option to include or avoid stairs. Runners can choose from easy runs and hill sessions, while hill intervals and pace-focused workouts are listed as coming soon.

After generating a route, users can view its street-based course, elevation profile and key details, then save it or export it as a GPX file for use with a watch. Routes can be planned as loops or non-loop courses, helping runners find suitable training ground wherever they are. RunMapper is intended for preparation for events such as 10K races, half marathons and trails, as well as everyday training.

The project was created by two engineers and runners who wanted to make it easier to find appropriate routes while travelling or training locally.
