## Description

Rust and Dust is a post-apocalyptic live-action role-playing (LARP) experience set amid the ruins of a world destroyed more than a century ago. Staged on a former explosives-chemistry site, the event uses its setting to create an intense end-of-the-world atmosphere. Participants enter the story of New Hope, a settlement offering survivors the possibility of refuge and a fresh start in a harsh wasteland. Over nearly 100 hours, players take on characters, make consequential choices, meet other survivors and help shape a living, continually evolving community. The experience centers on immersive storytelling, role-play and the challenges of finding a place—and surviving—in a dangerous new world. Rust and Dust invites participants to create their own stories rather than simply observe the action. The website provides information about the event’s history, grounds and travel arrangements, groups, gallery, downloads and organizers, along with contact and awareness resources. Tickets for the 2027 event are announced as coming soon.
