## Description

RVA Karate is a martial arts and fitness school in Richmond, Virginia, offering karate programs for children and adults. The school’s mission is to develop individual character through the dedicated, well-rounded study and practice of Okinawan karate. Its welcoming environment encourages students to grow physically and mentally through exercise, self-defense training, and exposure to Japanese and Okinawan culture.

Kids’ karate classes focus on coordination, fitness, mental strength, confidence, discipline, leadership, and social skills, using structured instruction and positive reinforcement. Adult classes offer opportunities to learn self-defense, improve flexibility, balance, and strength, and build fitness while developing new skills. Programs are designed around students’ goals, which may include greater confidence and focus or improved fitness and weight management.

RVA Karate emphasizes professional instruction, safe and engaging classes, and a supportive community. Students are encouraged to learn from mistakes, overcome challenges, and develop integrity and respect, carrying lessons from the dojo into everyday life.
