## Description

Ruderverein Isenhagener Land e.V. is a community rowing club serving the Isenhagener Land area of Lower Saxony, between Wittingen and Hankensbüttel in Gifhorn district. Formerly known as Ruderverein am Gymnasium Hankensbüttel, the club rows on the Elbe-Seitenkanal, with its boathouse and grounds located near kilometre 39.7. It welcomes beginners and experienced rowers, including children, young people and adults, and supports an active club life through training, seasonal rowing activities and events.

For young people aged 11 and over, the club offers compact rowing courses that introduce participants to handling boats, water safety and rowing on the canal. Members can also take part in longer rowing excursions, including multi-day trips on rivers such as the Aller, with opportunities to join for part or all of a journey. The club’s programme includes an annual start-of-season gathering and boat ceremonies, alongside member meetings and club activities. Through instruction, recreation and shared outings, Ruderverein Isenhagener Land brings local people together to enjoy rowing and develop their skills on the water.
