## Description

Karatevereniging Ryounkai is a Dutch karate association dedicated to a traditional Japanese style introduced to the Netherlands in 1974 by Sensei Yasuo Takahashi. The association focuses on full-contact bogu karate, a form of training rooted in Budo. Its approach brings together practical self-defence, physical strength, and the development of a focused, determined spirit.

Ryounkai offers regular karate training at dojos in Amstelveen, Delft, Diemen, Elst, Haarlem, Heerhugowaard, and Zaanstad. Alongside local classes, the association organizes tournaments, training camps, and other group activities, giving members opportunities to practise and connect beyond their usual dojo. People interested in the style can contact a nearby dojo to find out more, watch a session, or try a training class free of charge and without obligation. Ryounkai presents karate as a way to sharpen both body and mind, welcoming newcomers who want to experience its training firsthand.
