## Description

Ryuuko Dojo and Five Element Shiatsu are two complementary businesses owned by John Dempsey and located in Scarborough, Ontario. Together, they combine martial arts instruction with hands-on and energy-based wellness services. Founded in 2005, Ryuuko Dojo offers training in Gogyo Goshin-jitsu, Budo-taijutsu (Ninjutsu), and Qi-gong, as well as self-defence and fitness instruction. Lessons are available privately or in small groups, providing options for people seeking to develop practical skills, improve fitness, or explore martial arts.

Founded in 2013, Five Element Shiatsu is a multi-modality clinic focused on helping clients address health issues through Shiatsu, Tuina, foot reflexology, and Medical Qi-gong therapy. The businesses also offer a Qi-gong for Wellness course and a VIP package combining a private lesson with a therapy session. Dempsey’s approach reflects his belief that martial artists should also understand healing, informed by more than 35 years of martial arts experience and study of anatomy, medicine, manual therapy, and energy work. Gift certificates are available.
