## Description

The Society for Research on Adolescence (SRA) is a professional community dedicated to advancing understanding of adolescence and supporting young people’s wellbeing in a globalized world. It promotes high-quality research that examines biological, psychological, and sociocultural development in context, and encourages research-informed discussion and guidance across parenting, education, health, and public policy. SRA membership is open to people who conduct, support, or are interested in research relevant to adolescent development, including researchers, practitioners, professionals, and undergraduate and graduate students from a wide range of fields.

The Society offers opportunities for professional development, networking, and collaboration. Its programs include special interest groups, awards, summer school, undergraduate scholar opportunities, and the International Young Scholars Program. SRA also convenes a biennial conference and shares research and resources through the Journal for Research on Adolescence, public webinars, and policy-focused materials. The organization states a commitment to anti-racism, social justice, inclusion, and equity, and aims to use research to inform practices and policies that foster fair opportunities and flourishing lives for young people.
