## Description

Saburov Art Studio presents the hand-engraving work of master engraver Aleksey Saburov, specializing in miniature art carved into metal. The studio’s signature creations are contemporary hobo nickels: individually engraved works made on genuine early twentieth-century five-cent pieces. Drawing on traditional hobo engraving, historical motifs, portraits, profiles, legends, and other imaginative themes, Saburov creates dimensional, coin-style bas-reliefs, including custom designs. Featured works include pieces inspired by figures, stories, and subjects such as Uncle Sam, pirates, Christmas, and the Wild West.

The studio also offers hand engraving on knives, watches, and jewelry, and accepts commissions for these services as well as hobo nickels. Its work combines artistic design with metalworking and jewelry-crafting experience; Saburov has formal education in metalwork and jewelry craft and a decade-long career in high-end jewelry making. The studio notes that its hobo nickels are signed and numbered collectibles. Saburov has also collaborated with Corum on a limited-edition collection of coin watches, bringing his engraving skills together with the history and visual character of hobo nickels.
