## Description

The Sacramento Poetry Center (SPC) is a literary organization and community resource based in Sacramento, California. Established in 1979, it brings readers and writers together to explore poetry and a wide range of literary work. The center promotes public readings, workshops, conferences, and other events designed to encourage participation and appreciation of literature. Its longstanding Monday Night Reading Series has been a central part of its programming for more than 40 years, offering a regular forum for poets and audiences. SPC also organizes an annual Fall Festival and Conference, with activities such as readings, panel discussions, workshops, and open mics. Alongside its events, the center supports literary culture through its publications. These include Tule Review, an internationally recognized annual literary journal, and Poet News, a monthly journal that shares updates and information about the center’s activities. Visitors can find event details, past newsletters, literary links, and information about membership and donations through SPC’s website.
