## Description

**Sad Girl Review** is a contemporary art and literature magazine established in 2018, dedicated to publishing online and aiming to showcase the best in feminine and melancholic material. The magazine produces issues twice a year and celebrates diverse expressions of "girly" art, encompassing memes, emojis, new media, and conceptual work. With a focus on emotional exploration, Sad Girl Review invites contributors to define their interpretations of femininity, complexity, and artistry, welcoming submissions from individuals of all genders.

Founded by Amber, a conceptual artist with extensive education in art and creative writing, the magazine merges artistic sensibilities with social awareness. It acknowledges its position on traditional territories of Indigenous peoples while pledging support to Indigenous-led causes through financial donations with each issue. Sad Girl Review not only promotes hidden narratives and lesser-known stories but also seeks to challenge conventional ideas about art and identity, making it a vital platform for contemporary voices in the creative community.
