Safe Engage Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Christine Alfons in 2015 in Kenya. The foundation is dedicated to creating a community free from violence, especially gender-based violence. Christine was inspired to start the Foundation after her father, Alfons, stood up against Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) and lost his life to so-called "honour" killing when she was just 8 years old.

Today, Safe Engage Foundation runs seven different programs supporting hundreds of women and girls each year. They provide a safe refuge for girls in need of housing during the cutting season and work tirelessly to end patriarchy, the root cause of gender-based violence.
