Safehome is a nonprofit organization and domestic violence shelter, also known as a women's shelter, located in Johnson County. We are dedicated to ending intimate partner abuse and providing support to survivors. Our services include a 24-hour hotline, a domestic violence shelter, individual and group counseling, court and legal support, and community programs and engagement.
Each year, approximately 8,000 individuals benefit from our services, gaining the support they need to lead healthy and independent lives. We proudly serve individuals from all backgrounds and welcome survivors of all races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, and socioeconomic statuses. We believe that intimate partner abuse is not limited to physical violence and recognize forms of abuse such as psychological, financial, sexual, and emotional.
