With Australia facing some of the highest skin cancer rates globally, the program focuses on transforming the prevention and early detection of skin cancer. By addressing the increasing prevalence of this disease, Safe in the Sunshine aims to alleviate the burden on patients, their families, and the healthcare system. The initiative was born from the Australian Cancer Research Fund and represents a collaboration between prominent institutions such as the University of Queensland, Monash University, and the University of Sydney.
