## Description

Safer Edge is a women-led risk management company supporting social sector organisations to work safely through security training, safeguarding and practical risk advice. Working since 2002, the company promotes equitable security through an intersectional approach and collaborative implementation, recognising that safety needs to be inclusive.

Its services include risk assessments, audits, system design and review, and advice on risk policies and practices. Safer Edge also provides safeguarding courses, consultancy, training and mentoring, helping organisations anticipate and address safeguarding risks. Its online courses are designed to be accessible and inclusive, offered in multiple languages, and the company says they can cost up to 80% less than traditional security courses.

Training topics include Hostile Environment Awareness Training and its refresher course, international travel security, crisis management, security management, safe driving, and personal security for LGBTQ+ people and women. Courses also address disability inclusion and security, carbon reduction in humanitarian and development work, and security support for organisations working in Ukraine. Safer Edge can tailor bespoke courses to meet specific organisational needs.
