## Description

ŞahaNey is a workshop and online store dedicated to preserving and sharing the art of the ney, a traditional reed flute used in Turkish music. The brand makes ney instruments by hand from carefully selected and naturally dried reed, emphasizing that each instrument is shaped by the material rather than produced through factory-style mass manufacturing. Customers can browse different ney types and sizes, including Kız, Şah and Mansur options, and order instruments made for them. The store also offers accessories such as ney cases and wooden stands.

Beyond its products, ŞahaNey supports people exploring the instrument and its musical heritage. Its website provides guidance on choosing, caring for and oiling a ney, alongside information about the instrument’s history, construction and varieties. Ney courses, a substantial archive of Turkish classical and contemporary music notation, and a blog covering makam, composers and musical topics extend this educational offering. The workshop also shares its knowledge through concerts, workshops, festivals and other cultural events, connecting audiences with ney-making, performance and the traditions behind the music.
