## Description

The Comité des Fêtes de Saint Benin is a local community organization that helps bring residents together through events, celebrations, and commemorations in the village of Saint Benin, France. Its activities include organizing the annual Parcours du Cœur, a community walking event offering short and longer routes for adults and children. After the 2019 walk, participants were welcomed at the Gaîté hall with refreshments, supported by the committee and volunteers. The organization also features a soapbox-cart race and helps mark local occasions such as the New Year celebration and the traditional dinner for senior residents. Its commemorative activities include events for the anniversary of the 1918 armistice, with an exhibition of historical documents and the commune’s Croix de Guerre, followed by a gathering at the war memorial. The committee’s work focuses on creating opportunities for residents to participate, celebrate, and share community traditions, relying on volunteer support to make events possible. Its blog records these activities and provides a glimpse into the social life and local heritage of Saint Benin.
