## Description

Salt Water Divas is a Southern California community of women surfers, founded in 2012 to help more women get into the water. The group has grown to 2,800 members, with a community spanning Southern California and Hawaii. Its mission centers on women supporting one another, building friendships, and uplifting their communities through surfing and shared adventures.

Salt Water Divas offers surf lessons for beginners and for surfers looking to improve their skills. Members can join weekly meetups at local breaks across Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego County, as well as in-person gatherings and Zoom meetings. The organization also arranges local and global surf travel, including California glamping adventures, road trips, and overseas vacations, with team riders introducing participants to new breaks.

Through partnerships with local surf shops, vendors, and sponsors, the group helps members access deals on gear, lessons, and travel. Salt Water Divas also supports environmental and social projects and offers scholarships intended to broaden participation and assist women facing life challenges or financial hardship.
