## Description

Salvia is a Japanese lifestyle and craft brand founded in 2000 through the personal work of graphic designer Yuriyo Seki. Based in Tokyo’s Kuramae district, with a making hub in Higashikawa, Hokkaido, the brand brings its guiding idea, “making the old new,” to life by working with traditional Japanese crafts and regional industries. Its aim is to create thoughtful items for everyday living across clothing, food, and home.

Salvia’s range includes everyday and seasonal goods such as socks, clothing, handkerchiefs, brooches, bags, a beeswax wrap designed to return to the earth, and craft kits. It also develops textiles using traditional Japanese techniques, including the BLUE FOREST and WATER LILY collections, and publishes the seasonal booklet Quarterly Salvia. Customers can shop online or visit the brand’s store and showroom in Kuramae, which opened as a full-fledged shop in 2024. Salvia also holds workshops centered on handcraft and runs a community project for supporters.
