## Description

Sand & Steel Fitness is an owner-operated gym in Alexandria, Virginia, founded in 2013 by coaches Paul Roberts and Dawn Anderson. The owners remain actively involved in coaching and member progress, supported by a team of credentialed coaches. The gym serves Alexandria and the wider Northern Virginia area from its Eisenhower Avenue location near Van Dorn Metro.

Sand & Steel offers one-on-one personal training, small-group fitness classes, HYROX classes, open gym access, nutrition coaching, and dedicated rehab and mobility training. Members can also choose a personal training and classes combo, or structured onboarding options such as Starter Pack and Jump Start. Workouts may include kettlebells, powerlifting, conditioning, and calisthenics, with HYROX preparation incorporating sled, ski, and running-based training.

Programs are adapted to members’ goals, experience, schedules, and physical needs. Classes average four to eight participants, allowing coaches to provide individual attention and scale movements appropriately. The gym also offers fitness assessments and InBody scans.
