## Description

The San Francisco Comedy Competition is a prestigious elimination-style contest held annually in September, spanning four weeks of thrilling performances. This event showcases the talents of up-and-coming comedians from around the globe, with only 32 selected to compete. Participants commit to at least one week of Preliminary performances, with the chance to advance through Semifinals to the Finals, where the champion is crowned.

The competition not only allows comedians to perform in diverse venues—from intimate settings to theaters with over 1,500 seats—but also provides invaluable opportunities for personal growth and networking with fellow performers.

Aspiring comedians must be at least 21 years old and submit a compelling application that includes a brief biography and a video showcasing their original material. The San Francisco Comedy Competition is more than a contest; it's a platform for aspiring comedians to hone their craft and gain recognition in the comedy world.
