## Description

San Marino Game Convention (SMGC) is a premier gathering for board game enthusiasts, celebrated for its vibrant community-focused atmosphere. Held annually, with the next edition scheduled for May 16-18, 2025, this convention is organized by the Associazione Sammarinese Giochi Storici (A.S.G.S.) and attracts players passionate about board-wargames, traditional board games, and abstract strategy games. Unlike typical conventions that emphasize sales, SMGC prioritizes gameplay, offering attendees the opportunity to immerse themselves in thrilling historical simulations and strategic contests.

With roots dating back to 1999, SMGC has evolved from its early days featuring games like Diplomacy and 1830, to become a significant event in the Italian gaming landscape. The convention now takes place at the prestigious Centro Congressi Kursaal, further enhancing its reputation. Entrance is free, inviting all to share in the joys of gaming, whether playing or spectating. SMGC embodies the spirit of camaraderie and fun, making it a must-visit for gaming aficionados.
