SANNZ, the Student Architecture Network of New Zealand, is a dynamic organization that has been empowering architecture students in New Zealand since 2008. As the student analogue of the NZIA, SANNZ strives to bridge the gap between university students and industry professionals. With a mission to extend, engage, and support architecture students, SANNZ has developed numerous initiatives to create a conducive environment for students to build networks that will support them in their future careers. SANNZ represents students at the six accredited schools of architecture across New Zealand, including The University of Auckland, Unitec, Auckland University of Technology, Victoria University of Wellington, Ara Institute of Canterbury, and Otago Polytechnic. To ensure students have opportunities to broaden their networks within their local architecture communities, SANNZ hosts regular social events and showcases student work. Additionally, they organize the highly anticipated 24Hr Design Competition, bringing together students from all over the country to collaborate and learn.
