## Description

The South African National Paintball/Airsoft Association (SANPA) is a registered section 21 non-profit organization established in 2012 to bring South Africa’s paintball and airsoft communities together. It promotes both sports in all their forms, with a focus on making participation safe and enjoyable. SANPA is regarded as the national federation for paintball and airsoft in South Africa and takes responsibility for safety matters within these disciplines, as set out under the country’s Sport and Recreation Act.

The association works with Sport and Recreation, government departments, local authorities, and other associations and federations. It has helped clarify laws affecting paintball and airsoft and continues to advocate for its members where needed. SANPA also provides practical information and resources, including guidance on player registration, air cylinders and hydro testing, competitive paintball, airsoft, and relevant legislation. Its membership services cover clubs, venues, compliance officers, and event organizers, supported by protocols and conduct and disciplinary codes. SANPA is a founding member of the United Paintball Federation and is affiliated with Youth Tourism South Africa.
