## Description

Santralistanbul is a vibrant cultural, art, and education center located in the historic Haliç district of Istanbul, which opened its doors in September 2007. It is regarded as one of Istanbul's premier concert venues, alongside Küçükçiftlik Park. At the heart of santralistanbul is the repurposed Silahtarağa Electric Power Station, a sprawling 118-acre complex transformed by Istanbul Bilgi University into an Energy Museum and Main Gallery. This unique institution serves as a hub for artist workshops, a public library, and educational facilities affiliated with the university.

Santralistanbul is dedicated to fostering international cultural and artistic exchanges, offering diverse educational programs such as media art workshops and exhibitions featuring renowned artists. Currently, the Energy Museum is scheduled to be closed to visitors from June 15 to June 23, 2024. Whether you’re looking to engage with cutting-edge art or soak up the history of industrial archaeology, santralistanbul provides an enriching experience for all visitors.
