## Description

Sapphire Mountain Men is a family-friendly muzzle-loader shooting club based in the Missoula, Montana area. The club promotes the safe and accurate use of muzzle-loading firearms from the pre-1840s era, while encouraging historically accurate period representations, honesty, fellowship, good sportsmanship, and patriotism. Youth education is also an important part of its mission, with members working to introduce younger generations to the skills and traditions of the past.

The club offers regular opportunities for members to practice through monthly muzzle-loader shoots, and it volunteers at community events. Its signature annual gathering is the Wild-horse Rendezvous, which brings participants together for historical activities and fellowship. The 2026 rendezvous is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 22–25, in Cyr, Montana, with mail-in preregistration available. A respectful ceremony to retire worn American flags and special celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary are planned. Sapphire Mountain Men also shares photos and information about past rendezvous and shoots, and welcomes families interested in membership.
