## Description

Sapporo City Jazz is a vibrant urban jazz festival that began in 2007 and is celebrating its 18th edition in 2024. The festival has evolved to feature a year-round suite of events, including the main performances at the Sapporo Cultural Arts Theater 'hitaru', with additional venues across Sapporo. The festival runs from July 13 to December 10, 2024, showcasing diverse live events such as the 'Park Jazz Live' in July, featuring approximately 200 bands in multiple locations, and the 'North JAM “Picnic” Session' in August, offering a relaxed outdoor setting for jazz enthusiasts. 

In December, the festival culminates with the exclusive 'Theater Jazz Live' sessions at hitaru, where high-quality performances are enhanced by excellent sound and visual systems. The festival also promotes community engagement through various programs like Universal Jazz Live, Jazz Library, and collaborations with local organizations. With a focus on fostering the next generation of musicians, Sapporo City Jazz aims to enrich the cultural fabric of the region and invites everyone to join in the celebration of jazz.
