## Description

Sar-El, the National Project for Volunteers for Israel, is a non-political, non-profit service organization founded in 1982 by Dr. Aharon Davidi. It operates under the direction of the Israeli Logistics Corps and enables people from around the world to support Israel through practical volunteer service. Since its establishment, Sar-El reports welcoming 292,000 volunteers from more than 60 countries.

Its core program places participants on Israel Defense Forces bases for one to three weeks. Volunteers live in barracks and perform essential, non-combat logistical tasks alongside Israeli soldiers, contributing to the day-to-day support of the IDF while experiencing life in Israel. Sar-El also offers specialized programs, including Krav Maga, Magen David Adom, KKL, medical seminars, and other themed tracks. Group programs are available for schools, synagogues, and organizations seeking a shared volunteer experience.

The organization provides registration guidance and practical information for participants, including program schedules, preparation advice, and regulations. Through its volunteer programs, Sar-El aims to connect participants with soldiers, assist the IDF, and offer a meaningful way to contribute to Israel.
