Sunshine Mall LLC is an innovative animation studio based in Chicago, founded by Sarah Schmidt and Ian Ballantyne in 2019. Sarah, originally from Ohio, has a rich background in animation, having graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2014 and working at notable studios like Super77. The studio specializes in a diverse range of animation-related services, including animation production, illustration, and creating visually engaging .GIF posters. They have collaborated with well-known brands such as Bath & Body Works and Adult Swim, showcasing their ability to deliver high-quality creative content. In addition to their commercial work, Sarah is passionate about the animation community, having curated the Malt Adult independent animation screening series since 2016. Currently, she is also pursuing her MFA at DePaul University while teaching part-time at the School of Visual Arts. Sunshine Mall is committed to pushing the boundaries of animation through engaging storytelling and creative collaboration.
