## Description

Sarnia & District Humane Society is a nonprofit organisation serving local pets and the people who care for them. With 73 years of work supporting animals in need, it provides opportunities to adopt and foster pets, including barn cats, and helps reunite lost animals with their owners. The society also offers practical pet services and resources, such as microchips, pet licensing, carrier rentals, surrender forms, and information on animal protection, cruelty concerns, bylaws, wildlife, and pet care. Its HomeSafe and Safe & Happy Fund programs are among the support options listed for the community.

People can contribute by volunteering, fostering, donating, hosting fundraisers, or providing requested supplies. The organisation also raises funds through events, a clothing shop, a winter lottery, and vehicle donations arranged through Donate A Car Canada. The society reports caring for 2,116 pets in 2025 and says donations provided 90% of its operating funds that year. Based in Sarnia, Ontario, it shares adoption stories, news, and ways for residents to help local animals.
