## Description

SAR Projects is a satellite-data company based in Vilnius, Lithuania, focused on helping cities monitor and protect urban infrastructure. It combines synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite imagery, optical data, and artificial intelligence to identify conditions that can be difficult or costly to assess using ground-based methods. Its current product focuses on detecting water leaks across municipal networks. By analysing ground deformation and moisture signatures, the service identifies potential active leak locations and delivers results as GIS-mapped data that utilities can use to plan inspections and repairs.

The process scans a city network from orbit, analyses satellite observations with AI, and provides actionable findings within days. Initial scanning requires no ground access and is designed to avoid weather-related delays. SAR Projects says its approach is faster and less expensive per kilometre than traditional leak-detection methods. The company works with water utilities, municipalities, and urban infrastructure operators, tailoring project scope and pricing to each network. Its team includes data scientists, Earth observation specialists, and utility-sector experts.
