## Description

Sartapp is a family-run textile workshop in Samugheo, Sardinia, dedicated to handmade rugs and the island’s rich weaving heritage. Founded in 1978 by Basilio Sanna and his wife, Elisabetta, the business has grown into a modern textile company led by their children Stefania, Carlo and Fabrizio. Its work brings traditional Sardinian motifs and techniques into contemporary designs, combining skilled craftsmanship with modern looms and equipment.

Sartapp creates rugs using the traditional pibiones technique and has developed its patented Pibiones a Morse method, which allows detailed, dimensional designs with contrasting colors and raised effects. Customers can work with designers to create personalized rugs. The collections also include bedspreads, cushions, bath and bedside rugs, home textiles and gift items, with designs by artists such as Gavino Sanna, Leonardo Boscani and Pierluigi Piu. Materials include Sardinian wool, linen and cotton, woven on traditional looms. Sartapp products are available through its shop and showrooms in Samugheo, Baja Sardinia, Olbia and San Teodoro.
