## Description

SauceNAO is a remarkable brand that offers a powerful reverse image search engine. Derived from the popular phrase Need to know the source of this Now!, SauceNAO provides a seamless way to find the origins of images. Founded by Xamayon, the brand's main search functionality was publicly introduced in October 2008. It initially indexed around 20,000 magazine pages using a modified version of the IQDB engine developed by piespy. Over time, as the load and image set increased, SauceNAO developed its own highly scalable engine, replacing the IQDB backend in 2012. Today, SauceNAO indexes billions of images from a wide range of sources including web services, anime, manga, movies, and TV shows. The brand continually evolves, expanding coverage and experimenting with new search technologies. With its charming rough edges, SauceNAO remains a work in progress, constantly welcoming feedback and support from its dedicated users.
