## Description

The South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) is a prominent professional body established to support and advance the veterinary profession in South Africa. Founded in 1903, SAVA plays a crucial role in fostering high professional and scientific standards within the veterinary community. The association is dedicated to protecting animal and human health, promoting animal welfare, and enhancing the professional status of veterinarians.

SAVA offers a wide range of products and services, including health and wellness resources, a dedicated SAVA Shop, and public resources such as a vet locator and animal care information for various species, including pets, livestock, and wildlife. Additionally, SAVA advocates for the veterinarian profession through member benefits, career resources, events, and continuous education opportunities.

By partnering with subsidiaries like the South African Veterinary Foundation and Community Veterinary Clinics, SAVA is committed to community engagement and animal welfare initiatives, ensuring a united and respected veterinary profession in South Africa.
