## Description

Terra Energy makes residential solar more accessible through a subscription model designed to avoid the upfront cost and long-term financing associated with traditional solar installations. Its plans offer a three-year agreement, after which customers can cancel, and require no payment until the system is up and running. Terra says subscribers can save up to 50% on electricity bills from the first day, with average customer savings around 40%; actual savings depend on the home and utility costs.

The service includes solar system design, permitting, installation, maintenance, insurance, and upgrades. Homeowners begin with an eligibility check and customized quote, then work with a Terra specialist to plan their system and schedule installation. After activation, customers can use the Terra app to track system performance and savings. Terra also states that every Houston plan includes a 40 kWh home battery at no extra charge, providing backup power during grid outages. The company serves homeowners in Florida and Houston, with eligibility based on location, utility provider, and home details.
