## Description

S.B. Foot Tanning Company is a leather producer based in Red Wing, Minnesota, with a history dating to 1872. Founded by Silas B. Foot and George Sterling, the company has been part of the local community for generations and continues a tradition of making premium leather for footwear and accessories. Its materials are used in purpose-built work boots designed for modern craftsworkers, as well as other footwear and accessory applications.

The company emphasizes quality at every stage, beginning with carefully sourced hides. Much of its leather comes from Midwestern ranches within six hours of Red Wing, where cattle are raised close to home. S.B. Foot’s tanning process converts hides into stable leather, which can then be finished to achieve different levels of pliability, water resistance, and texture. Through its leather collections, the company serves customers seeking durable materials suited to their products. It also provides information about its process and history, works with distributors, and accepts inquiries, including requests for swatch books, through its sales contact.
