## Description

The Samuel B. Hoskins Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, dedicated to the memory of Samuel Britton Hoskins and his lifelong passion for aviation. Its mission combines support for charitable medical flights with opportunities for young people interested in becoming pilots.

The foundation provides grants to Angel Flight pilots to help offset the operational costs of flights. These pilots provide cost-free transportation for children and adults who need life-saving medical treatment in distant cities. By helping with flight expenses, the foundation aims to support pilots as they continue this service.

The organization also offers aviation scholarships for disadvantaged youth facing financial constraints, helping them pursue their goal of becoming pilots. Through these grants and scholarships, the foundation connects aviation with practical assistance for people in need and aspiring young aviators. Its website provides information about the foundation, its mission, Angel Flight grants, aviation scholarships, and ways to donate or learn more about Angel Flights.
