## Description

Starbucks Workers United is a dynamic movement striving for employee empowerment within one of the world's most profitable companies, Starbucks. With a growing coalition of over 12,000 union partners, the organization aims to ensure that partners have a significant voice in their workplaces, advocating for fair labor practices and improved working conditions. Key efforts include achieving a fair union contract that mandates competitive starting wages of $17 per hour, annual raises, adequate staffing, and essential health and safety protections. The movement has successfully organized at nearly 700 locations, demonstrating a commitment to collective bargaining and solidarity among baristas. Additionally, Starbucks Workers United operates a merch store where 100% of the profits support union workers' strike funds, reflecting their dedication to the cause. Engaging with the community, they encourage public support for unionized baristas and invite those interested to learn more about organizing their own stores. This initiative embodies the drive for a better future for Starbucks employees through unity and collective action.
