## Description

Segelclub “Haltern am See” e.V. is a sailing club based in Haltern am See, Germany, bringing together sailors of different ages and experience levels. Its activities combine recreational sailing, training, competition and an active community life. Members can use the club’s boats and take part in regular sailing sessions, including Optimist training for young sailors. The club also offers instruction and development opportunities, covering the inland boating licence (SBF Binnen), the sea boating licence and SKS, practical training, further sailing education and knot-tying.

Throughout the season, the club hosts regattas, club championships, rallies and other events, while members participate in local competitions and training at other sailing venues. Its programme includes youth activities and initiatives to support women in sailing, including plans for two teams to compete in the Helga Cup in 2027. Social gatherings and winter activities help keep members connected beyond the sailing season. The club also provides information for prospective members and currently reports that some berths are available for 2026; interested sailors are invited to contact the harbour master.
