## Description

The SCAR Open Science Conference is a scientific gathering for researchers and colleagues across the Antarctic community. Its 12th conference and associated meetings took place in Oslo, Norway, from 8 to 19 August 2026, with the Clarion Hotel The Hub serving as the event venue. The conference brought together participants, speakers, organisers and partners for a week of science, discussion and professional connection. Its programme included oral presentations, posters and digital posters, with accepted contributions collected in a draft Book of Abstracts. For those wishing to revisit or explore the event, the conference website provides recordings of main events through the SCAR YouTube channel and a photo gallery featuring highlights from the week. It also shares the story behind the 2026 logo, highlighting the meeting of Antarctic science, collaboration and Norwegian design traditions. Practical information includes the event’s code of conduct, venue details and separate email contacts for programme and logistics enquiries. The conference website serves as an information and resource hub for attendees and the wider Antarctic science community.
