## Description

Scarborough & District Riding Club is a long-established riding club in North Yorkshire, formed in 1972 after two friends came up with the idea while out riding. Its early activities included picnic rides and rallies, and growing membership led to the club’s development. Today, it aims to make riding and competition enjoyable and welcoming, with activities designed to accommodate members’ needs and riders of different abilities.

The club organises a variety of events and training for horses and riders, and members can take part in team qualifiers for the riding club championships. Its “something for everyone” approach is intended to help all members feel welcome, whether they are joining a rally, developing their skills or competing. The website also provides membership information, show entries, calendars, results, newsletters and updates, alongside videos from the club’s activities and championship appearances. Members and supporters can shop for clothing and other items personalised in club colours through the club’s online shop, operated by H & K Embroidery.
