About
Description
ScarecrowVideo is a brand that is passionate about uniting people with the world of film. Founded by George Latsios and formerly owned by Carl Tostevin & Mickey McDonough, Scarecrow Video is now a non-profit archive dedicated to bringing people and film together. What started as a few hundred tapes in the back of a record store has grown into the largest independently owned video and physical media library in the country, with over 145,000 titles to choose from.
Scarecrow Video not only offers access to mainstream films, but also specializes in rare, out-of-print, and foreign and independent films that can't be found anywhere else. As a hub in the local film scene, Scarecrow Video is committed to supporting local film organizations, promoting film screenings, and hosting events that bring filmmakers and film enthusiasts together. With the changing landscape of entertainment, Scarecrow Video continues to innovate and engage with the community, ensuring that it remains a vital part of Seattle's film culture
