## Description

The Stem Cell and Translational Engineering Society (SCATES) is a research-focused society dedicated to advancing the translation of stem cell and tissue engineering research into clinical applications. Its mission combines scientific integrity with the development of safe, innovative therapies for diverse medical conditions. SCATES brings together scientists, clinicians, industry representatives, policymakers and the public to encourage collaboration and help move promising research from the laboratory towards patient care.

The society supports work across regenerative medicine, bioengineering, biomaterials, stem cell therapies, tissue repair and related fields. Its community includes researchers exploring areas such as cartilage regeneration, wound reconstruction, 3D bioprinting, tissue models and engineered materials. SCATES provides opportunities to connect with its leadership and members, learn about developments through its news and posts, and participate through membership. The organisation also invites researchers and other interested people to contact or join the society. By fostering connections across disciplines and stakeholder groups, SCATES works to strengthen the path from scientific discovery to clinical use of stem cell and tissue engineering therapies.
